Readers’ Excellent Responses

Exciting day! Spoke with three beta readers, two of whom have completely finished the book, and a third who was close. Among my favorite quotes, taken from notes written in haste:

• "Fun how it played out"

• "Really good book, I really enjoyed it."

• "Great craftsmanship, really high quality."

• "Snarky humor is fun and refreshing"

• "The reveal was fun"

• "Vivid descriptions and memorable characters"

An aside: It’s curious how many of the beta readers said “fun,” isn’t it?

This was my favorite, an early morning text from a reader:

Well I couldn’t wait any longer so I binged read for nearly three hours , but finished your marvelous book. The suspense was killing me…The ending was great as you left the reader anticipating a sequel.

Hurrah!

There were minor issues pointed out by the readers of course, but on the whole, very, very positive results!
