Sweet Progress
We got back to the Pacific Time Zone from NYC last night. It’s always amazing how quickly jet lag fades going from east-to-west, isn’t it? I already feel on-zone, as it were, whereas, going the other way, we had to start sleeping and waking earlier to try to get onto Eastern. It worked, but the coffee bill for this month is going to be through the roof!
BUT! I can tell you getting up early and ready for the day makes such a big difference. I wish I had reverse jet-lag every day!
Today, I finished off three recipes for the book (Dottie’s Blueberry Muffins, The Mini Boxcar Omelette, and the Sunny Mediterranean Egg Secret Special.) That last one is said to be a creation of Clark Stevens, the wildly creative cook at Dottie’s Diner. When I passed the recipe by the friend I’ve modeled Clark on, he said, “I would absolutely order that” which, considering he is a magician in the kitchen, I’m sure he would cook, too.
So! I didn’t think I’d have time to wrangle recipes as we barrel toward release, but I wedged them in anyway. I hope you all get a chance to make them and, if you do, please, I beg you, send me pictures!
